A QuietSpace Room is a Japanese-inspired tatami room designed to support well-being and contemplative practices in the modern workplace.
Designed with natural materials and minimal furnishings and inspired by Japanese tatami rooms, a QuietSpace room offers employees a dedicated environment for tranquility, self-remembrance and mindful breaks — effectively integrating self-care into the 'work-care'.
Tatami rooms date back to the 8th century and have long been used for meditation and contemplation. With their simple yet grounding design, these spaces encourage calmness, clarity, and a connection to nature. By stepping onto a tatami mat, we are reminded to slow down, breathe, and be present.
